Miss Shirley Sees Things

I have come to the opinion that the Forever Room (ok, ok, that’s not what it’s called, and it’s not even the mirrors that are the focus, you’re supposed to be looking at the painted panels, but really? The room goes on forever, you can see forever, it’s the Forever Room, ok?) 

The Forever Room is much better when you are there with people. Or person. Not strangers, because I don’t like sharing my museum space (I don’t.) but someone you know. Just someone, whose presence can help the experience, by showing you the infinite parallel universes sitting side by side in their endlessly reflected image. As you show them yours. 

It’s a lovely thing, I’ve decided, and it makes my solitary heart sad, because this is one of my favorite things there, and this conclusion suggests that I am almost always only partially experiencing it.
