my cat has gotten into this thing where not only does he wake up when the neighbors get up at 5:30 and insist on waking me up then too, with breakfast in mind, he then keeps me awake after I feed him. Like, he eats, and then comes back to wake me up again. Every expletive-burdened 10-20 minutes, there he is, all “WAKE UP WAKE UP IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP” like the cruelest snooze alarm ever.

And I’m having trouble with this, because now I can’t win. It’s either fight with him for an hour or more to put off feeding, or give in and then fight with him because he has declared my returning to sleep unacceptable.

I find this unacceptable.
